My tenant has disappeared and the house is vacant when we checked. Rent is due for 2 months. There are letters for payment from credit companies and utility bills. Do I need to make a police report to make a record that the tenant is no longer staying at my property?

A divorce(SPR-mum) with 2 daughters (SC). married to a Foreigner. Can she buy a Resale HDB?

My parents own a 4 room HDB under joint tenancy. My dad passed away recently, and under this scheme I understand that my mum will get ownership of the flat. My siblings and I are all married with our own flats and properties. My mum is quite of age, and is showing signs of senility (difficulty remembering things). I am worried that my siblings might bring her down to HDB to sell the flat. Is this allowed by HDB? She is incapable of making such decisions on her own and I would like to find out if there is any legal means for me to prevent them from doing so? The flat should be for her to stay in her old age and I do not want her to be taken advantage of. Thanks and much appreciated.

I have a question and hope you can help. Let’s say I buy a property and put it under my wife’s name (100%), and we get a lawyer to draft a legal letter stating that if we sell the property in future the proceeds will be split 50-50…will this legal letter override the 100% ownership of my wife? How can I ensure that each of us will get 50% of the proceeds when we sell the property in future?

My brother fell into debt and intends to sell his HDB flat. However, his family and him would not have a place to stay if he sold off his place, and thus, I would like to prevent him from doing so. It is possible to raise a caveat against his flat? Thanks

Hi OneHome, My wife and I own a 4-room HDB resale flat, which has been fully paid by our CPF. We have one child who is still living with us, and intend to transfer ownership to him when he turns 21. What is the procedure to gift ownership of our home to our child without our child’s CPF being used? I understand that HDB has a transfer scheme, but they did not state if the transfer would mean that the funds used for the flat would be returned to me and my wife’s CPF accounts. Another method would be to let my child inherit the home after our deaths. For this, do we need to have a will? Thanks.
